Green Heck Gravel Rally

The Lodge at Leech Lake

About this event

Green Heck is a brisk all-night regularity (TSD) rally run on the twisty, technical, and hilly forest roads north of Park Rapids, MN. Honoring the long history of stage rally in the area, this event sends you down some of the same roads used in the Group B era and today. Battle the terrain as well as your own endurance as you drive toward the sunrise!

We have secured a recce exemption from ARA for Ojibwe Forests Rally competitors.

Car: You do NOT need a specially prepared car, but low clearance vehicles are not recommended. This rally is designed to be doable in your proverbial family sedan. Last year we saw everything from a Corvette to a 3/4 ton pickup. Significant hazards will be called out in the roadbook as Cautions. Since this rally is run in remote forests at night, we do recommend equipping your vehicle with ample forward lighting and a recovery point on the front and rear of the vehicle. A skid plate is good peace of mind on lower clearance cars, but it will not be necessary to safely complete this rally.

People: Each car must include two people: a driver and a navigator. If your navigator is a minor a special release is required- please request a minor waiver before June 26th.

Equipment: No special equipment is required. You will receive an interactive Rabbit Rally digital roadbook and PDF roadbook the weekend before the rally. Simply download the Rabbit Rally 2.0 app and go! Rabbit Rally 2.0 does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time. Scoring is done via independent GPS boxes mounted on your windows.
