NASCAR Street Race Worker Registration

Streets of Downtown Chicago

About this event

Chicago Region SCCA

Volunteer Registration

Sanction # 23-

July 1 - 2, 2023

We invite volunteers planning to work the event to pre-register here. This will allow the Region to plan staffing levels, lunch and dinner counts, and to provide the best experience for all our volunteers.

If you know of others planning to work the event, but do not typically use MotorsportReg to pre-register, PLEASE pass along the information below. Those individuals who are unable or unwilling to use MSR may contact the online registrar at regkatscca@gmail.com to have their pre-registration entered for them or please help them by assisting them.   There will be no walk-in and work allowed.

Anticipated Worker Specialties We Will Be Staffing in 2023 Saturday and Sunday:

  • F&C (Corners, Flag Chiefs)
  • Registration (3)
  • Event Chair (1)
  • Safety Steward (1)
  • Communicator (2)

CAMPING: Free camping at RT 66 Dragway in Joliet, IL.  Electric hookups and portable showers available.  24-hour security will be on-site.  Shuttles coaches will take workers to and from the event site each day.  Campground is available from 3:00PM Friday to 10:00 AM Monday.

Hotel: For those choosing to stay in a hotel rather than camp, NASCAR has blocked off rooms at hotels both in downtown Chicago (the Blackstone Hotel and Hilton Hotel) and near RT 66 Dragway (the Wingate Hotel and LaQuinta Inn).  Rooms are available at the NASCAR-negotiated rates.

Drive-to-event - for those who choose to drive to the event site, a limited number of free parking spaces will be available in the Millennium Park parking garage adjacent tot he event site.

Meals: Box lunches will be provided Saturday and Sunday at the event site.

Saturday dinner - there will be a worker dinner Saturday evening at RT 66 Dragway.

WORKER VERIFICATION:

As part of the controls for 2023 we will again be implementing a strict oversight policy for this event. Specialty chiefs will be provided with a list of workers who register for their specialty, and they will be required to verify if they meet the strict standards for NASCAR.  They also will be verifying when and where the volunteer worked for this event daily. Anyone who checks in as a worker and is not verified to have worked, will be addressed. It is the worker's responsibility to check in with their specialty chief and make sure their work was validated.

Event requirements

ALL F&C WORKERS MUST ANSWER THE TWO QUESTIONS AT THE TOP OF THE WORKER REGISTRATION!

Please tell them how many events and give some locations please - you don't have to know exact dates, the year would be sufficient.  The system will require you to answer these questions to finish your registration.

Thank you for understanding.
